Come Together

Cameron Mitchell is a young musician who participated in “The Glee Project”, a show that looks for the next artist to include on the TV show “Glee”. Even though he didn’t win because he decided to leave, he definitely was one of the favorites.

Since the show, he’s been creating his own music and continued making covers every once in a while. He covered “Blackbird” by The Beatles and actually pulled off to not be the typical boring cover of a song that is very well-known. Personally, I thought he did a great job with it. This cover had a nice relaxing mood that he included to it and got a great result out of it.

On another note, because it is so hard to pick just one good cover on a Beatles song I had to share with you guys a different version of “Let It Be” from the musical “Across The Universe” (which is in fact a Beatles musical, very much recommended!). Throughout the whole movie they include songs and give it an amazing new perspective. This song specially gave it a very sentimental spark in the scene, it is definitely something to watch! Enjoy!

Walk Off The Earth

Nothing can be more satisfying than finding good covers on YouTube, especially if they include something new to the actual song. This is the exact feeling I had when I saw Walk Off The Earth for the first time.

The first video I ever saw of this band was a cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You”. In the beginning I thought, “Oh, another chick with a good voice”, but once it continues they add more instruments and it ends up being a masterpiece. Each one of the members plays a different instrument and has a unique voice, so when they’re put together it creates a beautiful combination.

Because of the success and popularity that they gained with their videos going viral they actually started creating their own music. Not only did they release their first single already but it has had great response. It is exciting to see a band with this potential make it in the big leagues. We wish them the best!

Bieber Fever

We all know that Justin Beiber became the artist that he is today because of “Baby”, but did you know that the same thing happened to Drew Ryniewicz?

Drew participated in The X Factor as a contestant with her talented voice. If you haven’t heard of The X Factor, it is a TV show in which people can go and perform any type of talent they have. Drew took over the stage and courageously sang the hit song “Baby” by Justin Beiber. What’s so cool about her performance is that she completely changed the song making it very unique and her own.

This version is very calm compared to the upbeat JB version, but believe me when I say that it is as enjoyable. Personally, I love how she made a jam into a melody. Not to leave behind how catchy her version is too! My roommate, Alina, wouldn’t stop singing this song for weeks!

Look for yourself and get amazed with how this young girl wows the crowd:

Drew got to meet Mr. Beiber and sing with him! She is one lucky gal indeed!
